The Gate is Locked!

Bryant's headshot session was scheduled for 4:15 on a Thursday. When we connected at Bluff Lake Nature Center in Aurora, a woman started shouting at us that she was locking the gate as she was walking into the park. We, incorrectly, assumed she meant the gate to the park. So we walked west of the parking lot where there were amazing views of the Rocky Mountains and the creamy pink sunset. We realized that path we were on took us into the park and we started laughing about how there was a gate into the park but also a path that goes right in. We took our shots. Bryant was amazingly kind and patient as I navigated the setting sun. As we finished up our session, we realized the gate she was actually warning us about was the gate into the parking lot! We were trapped! I started panicking about what to do. I called my husband and he was about to jump into his truck to come rescue us with some bolt cutters when a trapped jogger informed us that he called the office for the gate code. Lol. We were saved by the first thing we should have done!

Bryant's headshots at Bluff Lake Nature Center turned out amazing! I 100% would recommend the location, but maybe not so close to closing time. ;)
